CLASSES TAUGHT: The Burn on reformer

Taylor M

3 Words to Describe My Teaching Style:

High energy, informative, supportive

My music style:

Like an art gallery-a variety and always changing but hopefully something for everyone (Rap, EDM, Transcendent, various remixes etc)

I fly with Jaybird Because:

I truly believe that blending breath and mindfulness with movement is essential in any fitness space. Jaybird has always stood out to me as an inclusive, empowering community that leaves people feeling inspired, connected, and eager to return. From the moment I experienced it, I knew I wanted to be part of such a special team.

My journey to jaybird:

My passion for health and fitness began with competitive dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading—but I never imagined that what started as a fun hobby would become a career that truly fuels my soul. I started teaching fitness—primarily in heated environments—eight years ago. After exploring nearly every academic path under the sun, I landed on kinesiology, specializing in clinical exercise physiology. This, paired with completing a few years of nutrition food science and working with Interior health running rehabilitation programs has allowed me the privilege and confidence in being a support system throughout people's diverse fitness journeys. I’ve lived all over Alberta and BC, most recently settling in Vancouver, where I was beyond excited to join the Jaybird flock and expand my teaching repertoire with the reformer. I can't wait to meet, move, and grow with you!

What MiNdfulness Means to Me:

Noticing and acknowledging without the need for immediate change. Being as you are, present in the moment while noticing sensation around and within you. A time to ground yourself, to breathe and to be.

words to live by:

I have the quote “Those who don't imitate anything, produce nothing” tattooed on me as a reminder that creativity doesn’t exist in isolation. We all feed off each other, drawing inspiration, sharing ideas, and building community through that exchange. To me, it’s a celebration of collaboration and the beauty of learning from one another.
